Ashby graduated from Wake Forest University in 1971 and wasted no time in getting his financial services career started.
He began working at Lincoln Financial immediately after graduation, and later he became an Agency Manager with Pilot Life and Jefferson Life from 1982 to 1998. He started Ashby Cook Financial in 1999 and joined Midtown Financial Advisors at its founding in 2015.
As an independent agent and investment professional, Ashby works with clients on financial and estate planning, often utilizing investment products, annuities, and life insurance as part of a broader planning approach.
Community Volunteer, Travel Enthusiast & Dog Lover
Ashby is a native of the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. He was born and raised in High Point, attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, and continues to be active in community organizations in the area.
He is the Past President of the Rotary Club of Crescent in Greensboro and the Past President of the Wake Forest Athletics Deacon Club. He also has an active role in the Athletes in Action ministry on campus at Wake Forest.
His personal hobbies include traveling, working out, traveling, playing with his dogs, traveling, writing, traveling, connecting with the people in his life…did we mention traveling?
Ashby is married to Katherine and has two adult children.
